TANGERINE PUBLISHING LTD is a producer of quality publications. Established in December 2001, the company combines the editorial skills and publishing know-how of its principals, Skye Hernandez and Georgia Popplewell, and links clients with the best writers, photographers, illustrators, graphic designers and printers in the business.
Tangerine's flagship publication is The Ticket, a high-quality film and entertainment magazine distributed primarily through the MovieTowne cinema complex. The company has also partnered with Toute Bagai Publishing to provide editorial and planning services for the acclaimed architecture and lifestyle magazine MACO Caribbean Living, in addition to serving a range of clients including Ernst & Young, TIDCO, Aegis Business Solutions, u&i Design Studio, Neal & Massy Holdings, Scrip-J Printers, Media & Editorial Projects, Republic Bank, bpTT and the Trinidad & Tobago Unit Trust Corporation.
The company's broadcast media division, Tangerine Media, produces television and multimedia programming.
SKYE HERNANDEZ
Skye Hernandez is writer and editor with extensive experience in both newspaper and magazine publishing. She has worked at the Trinidad Express, Guardian and TV6, as a writer, editor and manager of special print projects, and was also a founding member of the original weekly Independent newspaper. She was Managing Editor at Media & Editorial Projects, where she oversaw the production of several publications, including Caribbean Beat, Discover Trinidad and Tobago and Trinidad and Tobago Export Directory. She is a contributing editor at Caribbean Beat.
GEORGIA POPPLEWELL
Georgia Popplewell is a writer, editor and video producer/director. She is a contributing editor at Caribbean Beat magazine, for which she writes regularly on music, film, sport and travel. She has also contributed to international publications such as The Rough Guide to World Music. Popplewell started her television career at Banyan and is a founding member of Earth Television. She has worked as an Associate Producer on the Nickelodeon pre-school series Gullah Gullah Island. In 1995 she curated the Carifesta Film Festival, and was on the screening committee for 2002's Kairi International Film Festival.
